Templates for Change – Mission
As citizens of the world, a real and human response is needed to the challenges that we face. Beyond climate change, global warming, and the diminishing resources available for our growing populations … there is the issue of ourselves, the way we think, perceive and frame the challenges that will shape our tomorrows.
We know we cannot continue to live, consuming as we have done, and the external environment reminds us daily with new and disturbing signs that the planet that we live on is stressed and running dry of resources.
It is the underlying patterns of thought, exploration, feeling and awareness that need updating. We cannot enter a new time using old patterns of thought that are largely egocentric and carry-overs from a previous age.
It is not enough to just alter our language and say that ‘we’ are world citizens and ‘we’ all face these challenges. It takes more than the application of a superficial mental habit to replace the deeply ingrained and personal ‘I – first’ way of thinking. We need to appreciate more deeply the core foundations of life that impress upon us our common heritage as a human family, part of the interconnected and sacred web of all life from whence the feeling and awareness of ‘we’ together arises.
TFC has emerged from more than 30 years of research, development and practice to provide a truly global engagement in contributing to a new time, employing new templates that change the foundations from which we think and feel, perceive and live.
